GALERIE AZUR was named by Satoshi Yabuuchi, reflecting his wish that the gallery resonate with the stylish, luxurious, beautiful space of the Cerulean Tower, with its representative lapis lazuli sky blue color (azur in French). GALERIE AZUR was established in collaboration with Gallery Ichibankan, a gallery focusing on Karatsu earthenware in Fukuoka, and with Aoyama Art, the management company of Satoshi Yabuuchi, an established sculptor in Japan. We introduce works by top-class domestic and international artists including Satoshi Yabuuchi and Takashi Nakazato, as well as Karatsu earthenware artists. Moreover, we also aim at discovering and introducing talented young artists.
